Your name is (insert name here). You are thinking. Thinking about going
to a movie? You see a face that you recognize. Is that Bourne, Jason
Bourne? It can't be. It's been too many years.
You check the movie's
title. "Jason Bourne". It must have Jason Bourne in it! But do not get
too excited, The Bourne you know is not here. Matt Damon's character has
no direction or motivation in this movie and neither do any of the
other characters. The story is convoluted and hard to follow. (This may
be because there isn't much story here.)
You will leave with more
questions than answers and not in a good way. The action is there, but
it's too blurry. Bourne is there but he's too quiet. The plot must have
been left in the sea with Bourne in the first movie.

How To Get Past Writer's Block
UNM: This post has been understandably delayed. I have had writer's block on and off for the last few years. Why on and off? Well, I have started using my phone's voice recognition to dictate notes or stories that I can speak but I can't write. This has helped me write school papers and lyrics and more. Also, I just start writing as I do now. Since the dawn of computers, nothing you write is permanent unless you want it to be. You can always go back and change things so just start writing. It can't hurt. I also keep changing the kind of writing that I'm doing. It helps tremendously. I write lyrics, then I go and write an article, then I go and write a status update. Different writing wakes up different parts of your brain.
MORE: Writer's block is a terrible name. It's not actually a block of thoughts. It's just not knowing how to sort your thoughts out. If you change the way you think about writer's "block", you can get past it easier. Look at it as a speed bump and not a stop sign. Even if you can't think of anything to write, just start writing. Right now, open up a Word document or the notes on your phone or tablet and start typing.
Get something down on paper? Good. Didn't get anything down on paper? Good. Keep trying! As the Mythbusters say, "Failure is always an option." This means that you are going to fail. It is just part of life, but failure doesn't mean you should give up. Our society is too strung up on failing meaning that you are a failure. Failure actually means that you are trying hard enough to be able to fail. You can't fail without putting effort in, so the fact that you're failing means that you're putting effort in.
Keep going. Keep trying. Don't get discouraged. Get discouraged. Then keep going. Write about what you love. Write about what you hate. Don't limit yourself to one subject. Jump around to different subjects. Write about what you're passionate about. I'm passionate about news and that's how this blog came about.

How To Get Free Starbucks.
UNM: Starbucks may seem expensive to some, but if you know
how to use the system, you can get free coffee again and again. First of all,
join the Starbucks Rewards club. You can join by registering your Starbucks
gift card at http://www.starbucks.com/register,
buying a bag of coffee with a Star sticker at the grocery store, or by
downloading the free Starbucks app for your smartphone. After you join, use the
card every time that you shop at Starbucks. With each purchase, you get a star added
to your card. Eventually you will get a Gold card. A gold card is not only
shiny, but provides many awesome benefits. Below you will find Starbucks'
secrets unlocked.
MORE: Buy each item at Starbucks separately, whether you
have a normal Starbucks card or a Gold card. If you buy 2 or more things at one
time, you only get one star on your card. Buying them separately gets you a
star for each item. When you finally reach 30 stars on your card, you get a
Gold card. The gold card will be sent to you in the mail, with the address you
provide. Once you get your gold card, you can add money to it and use it
instead of a credit card or cash.
If you want to get even more stars, buy your Starbucks ground or whole bean coffee in the grocery store. Most, if not all, of the grocery Starbucks have Star Code stickers on them. Each code, when you type it in on Starbucks.com, gives you a star. Every 12 stars you get on your Gold card earns you a free, no strings attached, drink. Anything you can think of. Any amount of shots. It doesn't stop there. You also get free refills on brewed/iced coffee or tea when you finish your drink while at Starbucks.
Even after all these free drinks, you still get another one for your birthday! One last way to get free Starbucks is Star Dashes. Sometimes when you sign in to the Starbucks website, you can sometimes find what are called, “Star Dashes”. These are challenges to get a certain amount of Stars by a certain date.
One that Starbucks just had was get 5 stars by December 3rd, and then you get a $5 Starbucks eGift card. If you got 10 stars, you got a $10 eGift card for free. The only catch is that you have to opt in to the challenge on the Starbucks desktop or mobile website to participate.

The Best Black Friday Deals 2013
UNM: Black Friday is coming up fast and stores are coming up with many more ways to get products off their shelves. For many stores, Black Friday starts on Thanksgiving, a day earlier than normal. From the Xbox 360, PS3, TVs, and more, many products will have their prices slashed even more this year. Amazon.com has already started a "Countdown to Black Friday Deals Week" which will conclude on Sunday, November 24th when Black Friday Deals Week commences. Amazon also has a few Deal Of The Day sales on Star Trek DVDs and Blu-Rays.
MORE: Looking for a new phone this Black Friday? Both Sam's Club and Best Buy have the Galaxy S3 and S4 for cheap this Friday, November 29. Best Buy has the S3 on sale for free this Black Friday and it seems that you can go ahead and order it online for free with a 2-year contract upgrade. Sam's Club has the S4 on sale for 97 cents this Friday from 7am till whenever they run out of phones.
TVs are also on sale this Black Friday. Best Buy has a 65" Samsung LED 1080p 120Hz HDTV on sale for $999.99. The regular Best Buy price is $1499.99 and you can check out the reviews of this TV on Amazon.com. There is also a 39" Insignia 1080p 60Hz HDTV for $169.99 (regular price $329.99). You can also read the reviews and see the TV on Amazon.com, though Insignia is considered an off-brand and you get what you pay for. Remember that no matter what you are buying, you often only get what you pay for.
Computer extras such as external hard drives and flash drives, have also dropped heavily in price even before Black Friday. The Western Digital My Passport Ultra 1TB is only $69.99. A 32GB SanDisk Flash Drive is only $11.99, cheaper than it's ever been. 16GB will run you only $7.99 and if you are wanting a few flash drives to give away or keep, you can get 5 seperate 8GB flash drives for $36.95 total.
If you join Amazon Prime, free shipping is included with all of these Amazon products. Students and mothers get Amazon Prime for $39 instead of the regular $79. I would recommend joining Amazon Prime Student just for the free instant streaming video. I use it more often than Netflix and it seems to have a larger selection than Netflix, including new original shows. Also, you can get online and see reviews and ratings for the shows you are watching right on Amazon.com.
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and saves tons of money and time!

Who We Are
UNM: The Umbrella News Movement was started in Fall 2013 as a way to deliver the news that you need. First part of each article will be the Umbrella Coverage which gives the main points of each article. The second part will be a more in-depth analysis of what is happening in that article.
This format is meant to keep things short and simple for those who don't have the time to sit down and read a whole article. Think of it like a quick fix. Each month we will be concentrating on a different subject. and then taking an in-depth look at the topics in the article
MORE:
Sometimes you just don't have time for the news. Whether is be something as simple as snow on the ground, or as serious as a shooting; you want to keep up with it all. In this fast paced world of technology, it is becoming harder and harder to do so. Twitter offers a short and concise way to get news, but there is only so much you can say in 140 characters.
Facebook is more lax with its character limit, yet there is still not adequate tool on Facebook, save for clicking links, to get the news fastest. We here at the UNM aim to inform the population of what they need to know in an internet-friendly format.
We hope you enjoy reading our articles as much as we enjoy writing them. UMN videos should be coming as soon as January 2014. Subscribe to Tom5tom Entertainment on Youtube for the latest.
